Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Restaurant Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences to our guests. The successful candidate will be responsible for menu planning, food preparation, kitchen operations, and team management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Menu Planning:
- Create and update menus to reflect seasonal ingredients and culinary trends
- Collaborate with the restaurant team to develop menu items and promotions
- Food Preparation:
- Prepare and cook menu items to the highest standards of quality and presentation
- Ensure consistency and quality control in food preparation
- Kitchen Operations:
- Manage kitchen staff, including recruitment, training, and performance management
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment
- Control food costs, inventory, and waste management
- Team Management:
- Lead and motivate the kitchen team to achieve exceptional results
- Foster a positive and inclusive kitchen culture
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience as a Restaurant Chef or in a senior kitchen role
- Culinary degree or equivalent
- Proven track record of menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen management
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with menu engineering and cost control
- Familiarity with restaurant management software
- Certification in food safety and hygiene(a benefit)
